Notes

General Note
"A Jean Karl book"--Title page.
General Note
Jacket illustration by Margaret Chodos-Irvine.
General Note
Despite the subtitle, Tehanu is not the last book in the Earthsea Cycle series. Tehanu was published nearly 20 years after the Earthsea "trilogy" (1968-1972). A collection of stories and essays (Tales from Earthsea, Book 5) and a fifth novel (The Other Wind, Book 6) were published about ten years after Tehanu.
Summary
When Sparrowhawk, the Archmage of Earthsea, returns from the dark land stripped of his magic powers, he finds refuge with the aging widow Tenar and a crippled girl child who carries an unknown destiny.
