Summary
Summary
A dark family secret caused Sarah to leave Oxford at the age of eighteen. In her flight to Brazil she left behind a life. But five years later, after the death of her father, she is forced to return. Ella wants to see her grandmother Sylvia, the woman who raised her as a child and who now has Alzheimer's. Sarah thinks that she will only be there for a few days, but when she goes to the University where her father was a chemistry professor, she discovers that he has spent the last few years studying Jane Eyre and looking for drawings of some mysterious flowers, the flowers of Gideon. Who is Gideon? What do those illustrations mean? What does Jane Eyre have to do with all this? Although her grandmother seems to know her answers, she can't help her. The most paradoxical thing is that the only one who can do it is Liam Soto, a star professor at the University of Oxford, the greatest expert on Jane Eyre in England, and he neither wants nor can be close to Sarah. Through Gideon's flowers, Sarah will discover her grandmother's past and a great love story that may help her recover her life and give her the strength to unearth what is really hidden in the her heart.
